A big turn up marked an amazing night for Rwanda’s finest fashion designers who got a golden opportunity to showcase their talents during the Fashion Night Out on Friday.

The evening saw ten fashion designers display their best collections.

Designers who participated in the show included Sonia Mugabo, House of Tayo, Uzi Collection, Haute Baso, Inzuki Designs, Inkanda Designs, Rupari Designs, Made in Kigali, Moshions and Rwanda Clothing.See more at:short formal dresses

Organized for its first time by PSF, the aim of the event is to promote ‘Made in Rwanda’ products, especially focusing on fashion industry.

During the event, models displayed a variety of fashion outfits to make it easy for the audience to see how elegant and fashionable locally made fashion products are.

Participating designers said the exhibition served as a crucial platform to expand their sales as members of the public who turned up picked interest in their work.

Designer Sonia Mugabo, who is showcasing her latest ‘SM’ fashion trends at the exhibition, could not hide her feelings after finding out that her brands are being sought after by many people.

“I am very happy to see people getting interested in what we do. Many of them are dressed in our ‘Made In Rwanda’ brands and this is motivating us to work harder,”

“Rwandans are beginning to appreciate locally made fashion products. The mindset is positively changing and we believe the best is yet to come,” Mugabo said.

Mugabo believes the industry is going to grow since the government has made stronger efforts by taking a step forward to promote locally made products that can compete at the international market.

Singing duo Charly and Nina were around to keep the audience entertained, performing some of their popular hits like Indoro, Bye Bye, Agatege and Owooma, among others.Read more at:http://www.marieaustralia.com/formal-dresses-2016
